Afew weeks ago our school Hawkesdale College got the oppertunity to talk to a girl from Canada who was studying Accounting at Uni.
we learned allot about her country and she learned alto about Australia.

Geo Everything

I was in the geo everything group and I learnt all about how the world has gone Geo everything. I learnt that everything that we use on the internet to find out things is included under this category. I used all the google gadgets like google maps, google streetveiw and all the other things that were related to maps. I learnt that google uses satellite technology to get images for google earth. Google earth is a gadget that you can use to find out the terrain of an area before you go say four wheel driving. More or less the world is Geo Everything.

3.      Outsourced video

I was not asked to make a video for anyone so I didn’t. I was willing to make one for somebody though.

I requested for a video clip and I got one. I requested for vision of a person using a google maps on a laptop computer looking up another country. It was spot on, exactly what I wanted so I put it in my movie and it just topped my movie off. In my film I tried to make it obvious that google can be accessed anywhere in the world and you can get the same results. This is a link to the persons Ning where the video vision is.

My initial idea never sort of changed to be honest. My idea was always to show somehow how technology has changed and how it is today. I started my movie off filming in a classroom to create the feel of an old time classroom using atlas’ and things like that. Then I changed to a modern classroom full of computers and technology and shown how technology is the way of life now. And then I added the outsourced clip that was of a person from overseas using a computer and using google maps. The biggest challenge I think I faced was hoping to get a outsourced clip from overseas or otherwise if I didn’t get on my movie would be stuffed and it wouldn’t be good.  I think to make my movie better I could have organised my time a bit better. I thought if I added more of my time into it and edited it properly it would have been better. A movie I recommend is Thomas Johnsons. He put a bit of effort into it and he didn’t really understand it at the start but towards the end he had nailed it.

           The most valuable thing that I learnt was that our classroom is not just four walls it’s the whole world.
